I am also lucky to know Carmel in-person, through a few years of fringe festival touring. She describes herself as a 'Creative Alchemist' and this is certainly accurate as she continues to evolve her productions combining in-person intimacy and digital tools. From her LinkedIn page:

'A Creative Alchemist from the mid Atlantic region of the US and founder of Spectacle & Mirth, I'm a serial collaborator of art and weaver of connections. I am the founding Creative Director at Révéler Immersive Experiences in Richmond, VA. I am responsible for the internationally award winning shows "Journey to the Kingdom of Hypnos" and "The Marvelous Mechanical Musical Maiden." Founder & Directrix of the Richmond Fringe Festival and Shenandoah Fringe. I tour the world telling stories, conspiring with other humans, and playing wearable musical inventions.
