# Carmel Clavin

I am also lucky to know Carmel in-person, through a few years of fringe festival touring. She describes herself as a '[Creative Alchemist](https://www.spectacleandmirth.com/)' and this is certainly accurate as she continues to evolve her productions combining in-person intimacy and digital tools. 'A Creative Alchemist from the mid Atlantic region of the US and founder of Spectacle & Mirth, I'm a serial collaborator of art and weaver of connections. I am the founding Creative Director at Révéler Immersive Experiences in Richmond, VA. I am responsible for the internationally award winning shows "Journey to the Kingdom of Hypnos" and "The Marvelous Mechanical Musical Maiden." Founder & Directrix of the Richmond Fringe Festival and Shenandoah Fringe. I tour the world telling stories, conspiring with other humans, and playing wearable musical inventions. This vaudevillian loves to sing too loud, smash class structures, and wear grand hats'.
