The goal of this GitBook is to help curious theatre makers learn about digital integrations into performance and stage spaces. Of course, I am a big fan and advocate of second wave digital theatre. However, many theatre makers, critics, and audiences view second wave digital theatre practices as ‘not theatre’ for a range of reasons that should not be rejected because they can further inform your dramaturgical choices as you work. Not engaging in second wave digital theatre is an intentional dramaturgy which, arguably, is now built on the postdigital, post-pandemic presence of this type of new media.
