In Televisual Theatre, I discussed hybrid theatre, a term typically applied to an in-person performance that is also either livestreamed to a distanced audience, or which is recorded and streamed online after the in-person performance run concludes. :

A hybrid space therefore emerges out of the relationship between perceived, conceived, lived physical and digital spaces. … The participant in a mixed reality experience travels through these interconnected physical, digital, and intertextual worlds, witnessing, participating or even generating new, unexpected, and highly subjective experiences.
